ANNAPOLIS, Md., April 9 /PRNewswire/ -- FTI Consulting, Inc. (Amex: FCN),
the premier national provider of strategic and litigation-related consulting
services, today announced that John Worth has been appointed a director in its
Forensic & Litigation Advisory practice in the South Central United States.
Worth will primarily focus on building the company's presence in Texas.
Worth has more than 25 years of experience in management, financial
consulting and dispute resolution. He has served businesses within a broad
range of industries, including residential and commercial construction and
related financial services, industrial and consumer products manufacturers and
distributors, and technology-oriented product and services companies. Worth
has consulted and/or testified as an expert in a wide range of business
disputes, including financial fraud, intellectual property and commercial
disputes.
"We are committed to building our firm with the highest-caliber
professionals such as John," said Jack Dunn IV, FTI's chairman and chief
executive officer. "John is highly regarded in the South Central area and his
mandate is to leverage his reputation and introduce FTI's world-class skills
to this part of the country."
A former partner with Arthur Andersen, Worth has been a financial
consultant, chief financial officer for a $3 billion financial services
organization, controller for a $6 billion construction conglomerate, and chief
financial officer of a licensee of Major League Baseball and the National
Football League.
As a chief financial officer, Worth was responsible for legal, financial,
risk management, MIS and related functional areas. He negotiated, closed and
financed complex business mergers, arranged debt placements, negotiated
financial and business terms for a broad array of intellectual property
licenses in the sports/entertainment market, and negotiated royalty and other
forms of settlements pertaining to disputes involving licensing rights and
financial investments.
"I am looking forward to expanding FTI's practice in this region,
developing awareness of our firm's competencies, and utilizing our talent
nationwide to resolve business disputes for our clients in the South Central
region," Worth commented. "This area is called 'Silicon Gulch' because of the
concentration of technology and telecom companies, and it is home to the
third-largest number of Fortune 1000 companies. The business community here
is growing rapidly and needs FTI's services."
"I have worked with John previously, and it's great to be reunited with
him," said Barry Monheit, president of the Financial Consulting Division.
"John has a wealth of experience in specialty areas that are in demand in the
South Central region and nationally. We are very excited that he has agreed
to join FTI and build our presence in Texas."
