DiPentima Receives Azimuth Award

SRA President, Consulting and Systems Integration,
Honored as Industry Executive of the Year

FAIRFAX, Va., April 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SRA International, Inc.
(NYSE: SRX), today announced that the Federal CIO Council, in conjunction with
FOSE, an annual technology trade event for government professionals, has
presented Renny DiPentima with an Azimuth Award. The CIO Council selects two
recipients annually -- one from government and one from industry -- to be
recognized as the Executive of the Year. The awards recognize vision and
outstanding service to the federal information technology (IT) community.
DiPentima -- SRA President, Consulting and Systems Integration -- received the
award on April 8 during a presentation at the Four Seasons Hotel in
Washington, D.C.
"Renny has vision, exceptional talent and drive," said Mark Forman,
Associate Administrator of E-Gov and Information Technology at the Office of
Management and Budget (OMB). "He is a leader who cares about what he does,
and a true role model for so many of us in government IT. Renny's dedication
epitomizes the very best of public service, both in government and industry."
During the past year, DiPentima was instrumental in raising awareness of
key issues in federal IT. He testified twice before Congress on behalf of the
Information Technology Association of America. He also served as Chairman of
the Industry Advisory Council's CIO Council Liaison Committee, which worked
closely with federal government CIO council members to share information on
emerging technologies.
DiPentima has served both government and industry for more than thirty-
five years. He was the deputy commissioner for systems at the Social Security
Administration prior to joining SRA in 1995. In his current position, he
oversees all of the IT programs and contracts SRA provides to clients across
the U.S. federal government. Government Computer News has selected him as
both the Government Executive of the Year and as the Industry Executive of the
Year. In 2003, Federal Computer Week named DiPentima to the Federal 100, its
list of the top 100 individuals who made the greatest impact on the government
information systems community, for a fifth time. He was also selected as the
Eagle Award winner as the Industry Executive of the Year.
"Renny has made exceptional contributions to the federal IT community
during the past year and throughout his career," said Ernst Volgenau, SRA
President and CEO. "We are pleased that he was chosen to receive this
prestigious award."
