SANTA ANA, CA USA
Offerings Redesigned to Better Address Needs of Software Developers

SANTA ANA, Calif., April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- NQL Inc. (Nasdaq: NQLI) today
announced new configurations and pricing for its Network Query Language(TM)
core technology, a scripting language designed to simplify Internet and
network programming. The new product configurations and pricing are designed
to broaden acceptance of the technology in the software development community.
"This new pricing schedule is designed to make it easier for more
developers to adopt our technology by making our prices comparable to those of
similar development tools," said NQL vice president of marketing Denny
Michael. "Technology analysts at the Hurwitz Group said our NQL(R) technology
could be the Visual Basic(R) of the web. We believe our new pricing and
configurations will help us increase the product's acceptance to live up to
that promise."
Technology analysts at the Hurwitz Group have called NQL's core
technology, "The first pure language of the content engineering era," saying
in a recent white paper, "Five years from now, Network Query Language might
very well be the SQL of the next web era. The content engineering era needs a
language, just like client/server needed Visual Basic, the first web
generation needed HTML, and the mainframe generation needed COBOL. Network
Query Language ranks as a most compelling candidate as the standard processing
language for the content engineering age."
The product's new configurations include the Standard, Professional and
Enterprise versions, which all run on Solaris, Linux and all Windows-based
operating systems. The Standard Edition is priced at $495 and is designed as
the entry point product with NQL technology's core functionalities. Beyond
the Standard Edition is the Professional Edition with a price of $1,500, which
provides the technology's complete range of functions including: running NQL
scripts as web applications; mobile device supports; neural networks; and
advanced protocols for large networks. The Enterprise Edition is now priced
at $10,000 and has been enhanced to accommodate an unlimited number of
development stations, making it suitable for larger development organizations,
which require multiple developers to build products.
The technology's evaluation period has also been extended to allow
developers more time to evaluate the product and to match evaluation periods
for similar development tools.
Commercially available since April 2000, the Network Query Language
technology was designed to help organizations leverage data housed in any
computerized system, from unstructured content on the web to data locked in
outdated legacy systems. Network Query Language technology was created with
the new class of connected applications in mind -- intelligent agents, bots,
spiders, middleware, and web applications. Network Query Language offers the
essential ingredients to rapidly develop those applications.
NQL will introduce its newly reconfigured technology to software
developers attending the SD West 2001 Conference and Expo, which begins today.
