RSA Security and Deloitte & Touche Work to Help Accelerate PKI Adoption

    RSA(R) CONFERENCE, SAN FRANCISCO, April 10 /PRNewswire/ --
RSA Security Inc. (Nasdaq: RSAS), the most trusted name in e-security(TM),
today announced that Deloitte & Touche LLP has been offered the benefits of
RSA Security's SecureWorld(TM) Consultant/System Integrator Program. This
offering will provide Deloitte & Touche consultants with training and
certification, enabling them to install RSA Keon(R) software at customer sites
throughout the world. RSA Security expects its Program to help facilitate the
global adoption of public key infrastructure (PKI) technology in e-business.
This technology, although offered by a number of security software companies,
has added layers of security with RSA Keon software. Both firms intend to
work to help their respective clients deploy digital certificates for secure
communications and transactions.
"Security is paramount in today's e-business model and public key
infrastructure is one of the most effective technologies available to help
ensure trusted transaction over the Internet," said Bill Kobel, a principal in
Deloitte & Touche's Enterprise Risk Services (ERS) practice, responsible for
their Secure e-Business Technology Center. "We look forward to working with
RSA Security to help educate our customers on the importance of digital
certificates in e-business transactions."
"Deloitte & Touche's support of the software is affirmation of the value
that PKI technology brings to global e-business," said Scott Schnell, senior
vice president of marketing and corporate development at RSA Security. "We
are looking forward to working together to help bring trust to today's
e-business model."
"We have the depth and breadth of experience to understand the business
needs that drive secure e-business solutions -- and the technologies that make
them possible," said Kobel. "With services ranging from the creation of
communities of trust to technology infrastructure, from network-controlled
penetration testing to vendor product evaluation and testing, as well as ERP
security and integrity consulting, we are a leader in creating and
implementing secure e-business solutions that meet our clients' e-business
needs. We are pleased to strengthen our relationship with RSA Security and
bring secure and meaningful solutions to our clients through the ERS
practice."
