Homeownership Preservation Foundation Receives $200,000 from Ocwen

MINNEAPOLIS, April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The Homeownership Preservation
Foundation has received $200,000 in support from Ocwen Loan Servicing, LLC.
The funding will be used to help the Foundation's efforts in preventing
foreclosure in the United States through its national consumer hotline,
888-995-HOPE (4673) -- and its http://www.995HOPE.org website.
"Ocwen is proud to support the efforts of the Homeownership
Preservation Foundation," said Bill Rinehart, vice president and chief risk
officer for Ocwen Loan Servicing. "The Foundation is making a real
difference in helping thousands of people stay in their homes, many of
those Ocwen customers."
"We are grateful for the support we have received from Ocwen," said
Colleen Hernandez, president and executive director of the Homeownership
Preservation Foundation. "Ocwen's generous and timely gift will help us to
provide direct service to homeowners facing possible foreclosure through
our 888-995-HOPE hotline. In fact, calls to the hotline are up 30 percent
in the first quarter of 2007 alone and we are receiving more than 300 calls
a day from homeowners in trouble."
The Homeownership Preservation Foundation along with mortgage lenders,
nonprofit organizations and city government agencies, provides homeowners
with counseling and resources to help homeowners resolve their mortgage
troubles. Homeowners who call the 888-995-HOPE number can receive free
advice and counseling from nonprofit, HUD-certified organizations -- 24
hours a day, 7 days a week.
