American Axle & Manufacturing Reaches Contract Agreements with Unions in Mexico and the United Kingdom

    DETROIT, April 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Axle &
Manufacturing (AAM), which is traded as AXL on the NYSE, announced today
that it has reached agreements with the unions representing its associates
in England, Mexico and Scotland.

    "All of AAM's hourly associates at AAM de Mexico and our wholly-owned
subsidiary Albion Automotive in the United Kingdom have union
representation," said AAM Co-Founder, Chairman & CEO Richard E. Dauch. "The
recently signed agreements in Mexico and the United Kingdom achieved a
market competitive labor cost structure in those regions where the
facilities are located. This was all done quietly, professionally,
responsibly and effectively with no production disruption."
