Gen. Leon E. Salomon U.S. Army, Ret., Elected To GRC International Board of Directors

    VIENNA, Va., April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- GRC International (NYSE: GRH) today
announced that Gen. Leon E. Salomon, 62, has been elected to a new seat on the
company's board of directors.
    In announcing the appointment, GRC International Chairman Joseph Wright
said, "I am very pleased to welcome someone of Gen. Salomon's stature to our
board.  His extensive military service and knowledge of key programs that we
are targeting for future growth will be invaluable as we continue our
successful drive to expand our technical services business.  We will also draw
on his solid business experience with Rubbermaid where he focused on improving
operating efficiencies and profitability."
    Gen. Salomon comes to the GRCI board from Rubbermaid Corp. from which he
recently retired as Senior Vice President for Procurement.  He joined
Rubbermaid in May 1996 serving as the Corporate Vice President, Purchasing and
Logistics for approximately two years.
    Prior to joining Rubbermaid, Salomon served with the United States Army
for 37 years, achieving the rank of General.  From February 1994 until his
retirement in May 1996, he commanded the U.S. Army Materiel Command where he
oversaw daily operations for an organization of more the 70,000 people and 255
worldwide facilities.
    Gen. Salomon had numerous command and staff positions leading to his final
assignment.  From 1992 to 1994, he was the Deputy Chief of Staff for
Logistics, Department of the Army.  Prior to that, he served in a wide variety
of logistical, managerial, and policy and programming positions with
increasing scope and levels of responsibility throughout the U.S. Army.  He
was promoted to brigadier general in 1984 and served as a general officer for
a total of 12 years.
    Salomon has been a member of the Board of Directors of Primex Technologies
Inc. since 1996.  He is a member of the Board of Directors of Armed Forces
Benefit Association Financial Services Company.  He is a Senior Fellow for the
Association of the United States Army and is a member of the Army Science
Board.
    In addition to a BS degree in chemistry and biology from the University of
Florida, Salomon has a MS degree in management logistics from the U.S. Air
Force Institute of Technology.
