(Nasdaq: AICX) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Barry Hotchkies
as Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Hotchkies brings to Applied Imaging significant expertise in finance,
having served as CFO of the Berkeley National Laboratory, and as Vice
President, Finance and Administration of both the Pacific-InterAmerican
Division and the Corporate Technical Group at W. R. Grace and Company. Mr.
Hotchkies also served as Vice President of Finance and Administration at
Jacque Borel Enterprises, Inc.

running financial organizations, including structuring financings and
completing mergers and acquisitions," said Jack Goldstein, PhD, Chairman and
CEO. "He has also worked closely with investment bankers and venture
capitalists during his 24 year tenure with W.R. Grace and will be instrumental
in furthering our investor relations activities moving forward." Mr.
Hotchkies holds a BS degree from the University of Glasgow, Scotland and an
MBA from Dartmouth College.
