E-Security Conference and Expo Addresses Issues and Threats That IT
Professionals Face as Advances in Technology and On-Line Business Grow
SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Vincent "Vinny" Gullotto,
senior director for McAfee AVERT (Anti-Virus Emergency Response Team), a
division of Network Associates (Nasdaq: NETA), will be a keynote speaker at
the E-Security Conference and Exposition ( http://www.esecurityexpo.com ) held
at the New York Hilton and Towers on Tuesday, April 17, 2001. Gullotto will
take a retrospective look at the landscape of viruses, virus writers today,
and what we should anticipate for the future. The afternoon general session
begins at 3:30 p.m. on April 17th.
Vinny will examine how viruses, and their authors, are adapting to rapidly
changing times, highlighting how viruses today are just as big a part of
e-security as they have ever been. Additionally, he will look at where the
e-business model is going, addressing the importance of a corporate anti-virus
policy, what virus problems businesses can anticipate, and what means will be
available to deal with them. The discussion will also highlight the e-device
model with a focus on the proliferation of wireless Internet devices.
