CHICAGO, April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Borg-Warner Protective Services
Corporation, a subsidiary of Borg-Warner Security Corporation (NYSE: BOR),
today announced that it has been awarded five-year nuclear security contracts
from Consumer Energy Company to provide service at its Palisades and Big Rock
Point Nuclear Power Plants in Covert, Michigan and Charlevoix, Michigan. The
contracts are valued in excess of $25 million, and will employ more than 125
security personnel. Borg-Warner has provided nuclear security services to
Consumers Energy since 1968.
The contracts continue a mutually beneficial relationship between the
utility and the Energy and Government Services Unit of Borg-Warner Protective
Services, and have increased productivity and reduced costs. The Energy and
Government Services Unit provides security at 25 nuclear power plants and
seven Department of Energy facilities in the United States and has over 30
years of experience in this specialized field.
