ViewCast Showcases New Osprey-450e PCI Express Video Capture Card

Quad-Channel Osprey-450e Takes Flight at National Association of
                             Broadcasters Expo

PLANO, Texas, April 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ViewCast Corporation
(OTC Bulletin Board: VCST), a leading global provider of audio and video
encoding products, will unveil its new quad-channel Osprey-450e video
capture card at the NAB2008 exhibition in Las Vegas on April 14th to 17th.
The latest addition to ViewCast's industry-leading Osprey(R) family of PCI
Express(R) (PCIe(R)) video capture cards delivers robust processing on four
independent channels, significantly minimizing internal PC space
requirements.

The higher channel density offered by the Osprey-450e means fewer
computer systems are required to capture a number of channels --
dramatically reducing overall system costs. Osprey-450e PCIe card also
takes advantage of the latest architecture standard -- the super-high-speed
PCI Express bus -- for maximum performance. This enables broadcasters to
simultaneously capture four individual channels of analog video and
unbalanced stereo audio channels and process them independently.

"With the Osprey-450e, we're delivering the legendary Osprey quality
for the latest PC architectures," said Dave Stoner, president and chief
operating officer of ViewCast. "This new video capture card builds on a
solid track record of more than 300,000 Osprey cards sold globally and
being used in a wide variety of broadcast, commercial and industrial
applications. You'll find Osprey capture cards in mission-critical
applications throughout the world."

Like other multimedia-class cards in the Osprey line, the Osprey-450e
is compatible with a wide variety of commercial video capture, processing
and encoding applications as well as with other Osprey cards for
mix-and-match flexibility.

"The PCIe bus is the latest high-throughput internal bus architecture
to be offered by PC manufacturers, and the best PC graphics cards use this
bus to unleash the power of modern multi-core PC engines," said Mark
Hershey, vice president of engineering at ViewCast. "That's precisely why
we chose the PCIe bus for the Osprey-450e. It provides unfettered access to
all PC resources with no bottlenecks or mysterious glitches -- just smooth,
unadulterated power that can support multiple Osprey PCIe cards in one
system."

The Osprey-450e is optimized for live streaming video applications with
features such as logo bitmap overlay with transparency, positioning
controls and the ability to automatically detect and adapt on-the-fly when
the input video format changes from movie frame rates to television frame
rates. This card includes additional internal video inputs and four
additional balanced audio inputs that can be utilized as alternatives to
the rear panel connectors.

NAB2008 attendees can see and find out more about the new Osprey-450e
in ViewCast's booth, SL13109, in the South Hall lower level at the Las
Vegas Convention Center. ViewCast will also be demonstrating its other PCI
Express video capture cards -- the Osprey-700e HD PCI Express combination
high-definition (HD)/standard-definition (SD) video capture card and the
professional analog Osprey-240e card.

Additionally at NAB, the company will be demonstrating its latest
streaming media encoder appliances. These encoders include the newly
launched portable/rack-mountable Niagara(R) GoStream(R) SURF and ViewCast's
top-of-the-line streaming appliance, the rack-mount Niagara Pro. Both
encoders come equipped with ViewCast's most powerful software -- Niagara
SCX Pro and Osprey SimulStream -- which will also be demonstrated at NAB.
