Institutional Services and Advent Software, Inc. today announced they have
formed an alliance whereby Advent will provide TD Waterhouse with software and
application tools to arm their 2,000 independent investment advisor clients
with an enhanced portfolio management solution. This move gives advisors
managing client portfolios through TD Waterhouse even more software solutions
to choose from, allowing them to maintain their independence.
Through these services, TD Waterhouse's investment advisor clients will
have two options for accessing Advent's suite of software applications and
solutions architecture:
-- Fully-integrated within Veo, TD Waterhouse's proprietary
Internet-based account management and trading platform. TD Waterhouse
will deploy a special service team to provide an added level of
service for advisors taking advantage of the fully-integrated product;
or
-- Through installing and running Advent's software in-house, on the
advisory firm's own servers.
Investment advisors who choose the fully-integrated version of the
technology maintain the right to use the standalone version at any point in
the future, therefore never tying an advisor to TD Waterhouse through the
software they choose to employ. Advent has been an independent software
