strategy to expand into the off-airport market in Illinois, The Hertz
Corporation has opened three new car rental facilities in Chicago and South
Holland, Illinois. In addition, the Company has converted 15 existing
locations into Hertz Local Edition facilities to provide broader coverage of
the Chicago-area suburban market. Including the recently opened facilities,
the Company now operates more than 40 different locations throughout Illinois,
offering competitive rates on insurance replacement, business and leisure
rentals.
With a full range of vehicles available, Hertz Local Edition services may
include #1 Club Gold counter service and vehicles equipped with NeverLost(R),
Hertz' in-car global positioning system. As with all Hertz corporate
locations, vehicles are available with unlimited mileage and all rate
structures are honored, including one-way, inter-city rates. Coupled with pick
up and delivery service, Hertz Local Edition is an ideal option for
individuals needing an insurance replacement rental. With this in mind, Hertz
works with a network of body repair shops and dealerships to assist
individuals needing alternate transportation while their cars are being
repaired.
