Health Fitness Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: HFIT) announced today that
HealthSouth Corporation (NYSE: HRC) has filed a lawsuit against Health Fitness
and two former employees in U.S. District Court in Minnesota arising out of
HealthSouth's purchase of several rehabilitation and physical therapy clinics
from Health Fitness in May 1999. The lawsuit relates to two of the purchased
clinics. The Company believes that HealthSouth's claims are groundless. The
Company intends to vigorously defend the claims and to assert any
counterclaims that may be appropriate.
