REDMOND, Wash., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Symetra Life Insurance Company
has introduced enhancements to its custom fixed annuity. The product is a
modified single premium fixed annuity with an interest rate guarantee period
of 1, 3 or 5 years. The enhancements include:
-- Minimum interest rate of 2.0% during the seven-year surrender charge
schedule.
After the first seven years, the minimum interest rate drops to 1.5%.
-- Additional first-year interest: clients receive additional interest of
1.50% for purchases up to $50,000 and 2.00% for purchases over $50,000.
-- Additional deposits can be made for the first 12 months of contract, an
increase of six months.
"These enhancements offer clients a valuable guarantee return of principal
and additional interest returns on principal," says Symetra vice president of
Retirement Services Scott Bartholomaus. "This product assures clients that at
a minimum, their money will never earn less than 2.0% compounded per year for
the first seven years."
Enhancements may not be available in all states.
