FEI Honors Forbes Baker With 2006 Distinguished Service Award

         Recognized for Volunteer Leadership and Dedicated Service

    FLORHAM PARK, N.J., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Financial Executives
International, (FEI) the leading organization for CFOs and other senior
financial executives, has presented Forbes Baker of FEI's Houston, Texas
chapter with the association's 2006 Distinguished Service Award. Mr. Baker
is controller of the Port of Houston Authority.
    The award honors volunteer leaders who have made long-term
contributions to FEI's development at the local and national level. Mr.
Baker accepted his award from FEI President and CEO, Colleen Cunningham at
FEI's Annual Summit last week in San Francisco, California.
    FEI's Distinguished Service Award winners are evaluated across four areas:

    *  Holding past FEI positions and having a positive influence through past
       FEI positions
    *  Representing FEI's goals to the financial community in an exemplary way
    *  Launching major initiatives that strengthen national and/or chapter
       activities
    *  Demonstrating the qualities of a role model and being held in high
       esteem by their peers
    Mr. Baker, a Houston resident, was awarded for his extensive
contributions to FEI on all levels. During his 26 years of FEI membership,
he has served at the national level as FEI's Area Director (Southwest
Region), Area Vice President (Southwest Region), 2004 Summit Chair and
National Treasurer. Additionally, Mr. Baker was Houston Chapter President
and has served on the following national board committees: audit, budget,
finance, and nominating.
    Commenting on the award, Cunningham said, "Through the countless hours

peers, he has served as an exemplary model for Chapter leadership. He is

    Mr. Baker is a graduate of Texas A & I University - Kingsville, with a
degree in Accounting. He joined FEI in 1980.
