Worldwide Flight Services Acquires Oxford Airport Technical Services; - Acquisition Doubles Worldwide's Technical Services Line of Business, Brings Added Value to Customers -

DALLAS, TX -- Worldwide Flight Services, Inc. announced that it has
acquired Oxford Airport Technical Services (ATS), the largest provider of
technical services in the aviation industry. The acquisition effectively
doubles Worldwide's technical services line of business, increases its
geographic scope and provides customers with enhanced technical services.
Oxford ATS specializes in servicing passenger boarding bridges, conveyor
systems, cargo/material handling systems, ground power units, pre-conditioned
air systems and ground support equipment vehicles.
Oxford was established in 1976 by Anthony P. Dalia, P.E., a professional
engineer assisting PanAm Airways, who had a vision and recognized a need in
the airline industry for focused, quality technical services. He started the
company by servicing one customer, Air Canada, at JFK. Since then, Mr. Dalia
has successfully grown the company to approximately 200 employees, including
40 engineers, and expanded services to over 20 airports, including: JFK,
LaGuardia, Newark, Dulles, Tampa, Orlando and Southwest International Airport.
Pete Pappas, chairman & CEO of Worldwide Flight Services said, "Worldwide
is dedicated to growing and adding depth to our technical services line of
business. Because of its reputation, professionalism and vast experience,
Oxford was a key strategic addition and fits within our disciplined
acquisition program."
Pappas added, "As the airline industry continues to evolve, we understand
that customers want a long term relationship with an aviation service provider
that can deliver comprehensive, quality services over many different lines of
business, in many geographic locations. Our growth is focused on providing
these synergistic capabilities."
According to Worldwide Flight Services president and COO Mark Dunkerley,
"Acquiring Oxford and adding Tony Dalia to our management team enables us to
further strengthen the resources that we are able to provide our customers,"
Dunkerley said. "In addition, the dedication of Oxford's employees to
providing high quality services on a daily basis certainly emulates
Worldwide's commitment to its customers."
Mr. Dalia will remain as president of Oxford, which will continue to
operate independently, and will become senior vice president of Technical
Services for Worldwide. Oxford employees will also remain with the company.
Mr. Dalia said, "We have combined the technical expertise of Oxford with
the resources of Worldwide to create a team with a potential far greater than
I could ever have envisioned."
Worldwide Flight Services, Inc., owned by New York investment bank Castle
Harlan, Inc., is the world's leading independent provider of quality aviation
services for the aviation industry. Oxford Airport Technical Services is the
third acquisition in the past year joining Miami Aircraft Support and Aerolink
in the Worldwide Flight Services family. The company currently provides
cargo, passenger, ramp handling and a variety of technical assistance services
to more than 300 airlines, carriers and airport authorities in 98 locations
around the world.
