Powell Goldstein Continues to Grow, Adding Two New Partners in Atlanta

 William H. Mathieu joins Real Estate Finance and Development Practice and
           Mitchell S. Allen joins Labor and Employment Practice

    ATLANTA, April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Powell Goldstein is pleased to
announce the addition of two new partners in the Atlanta office. William H.
Mathieu joins the Firm as a partner in the Real Estate Finance and
Development Practice and Mitchell S. Allen joins the Firm as a partner in
the Labor and Employment Practice.

asset to our growing client base in that area and will also be a great
resource for our many other clients with real estate development needs.
Mitch will enhance our labor and employment practice by bringing new and
diverse clients to the firm, and his experience and expertise will add to

    Before joining the Firm, William H. Mathieu was a Member of Fine and
Block, an Atlanta based firm which he joined in 1997. Prior to that, he
served as the Corporate Real Estate Counsel for AFC Enterprises, Inc.,
based in Atlanta. Mr. Mathieu's practice will focus on commercial real
estate and secured lending and leasing, business organizations, land use,
complex loan workouts, and real estate-related environmental law. He has
handled numerous complex transactional matters and his background includes
work for the Resolution Trust Corporation as a member of the
Settlement/Workout Asset Team responsible nationwide for complex
real-estate asset workouts and complex asset-related litigation
settlements. He received his A.B. from Stanford University and his J.D.
from Vanderbilt University.
    Mitchell S. Allen comes to the Firm from the Atlanta office of Epstein
Becker & Green P.C. where he was a partner. His practice focuses on labor
relations, employment discrimination litigation, and managing and
conducting investigations regarding employee wrongdoing. He also represents
management in all matters relating to occupational safety and health (OSHA)
law, including the development of written safety and health programs,
conducting compliance audits, and representing employers before state and
federal administered OSHA offices during safety and/or health inspections.
He received his B.S. from Tulane University, cum laude, his M.B.A., with
honors, and his J.D. both from Arizona State University.
