Reno Air Announces Summer Schedule, New Service

             * Nonstop service from San Jose to both Portland and Seattle
             * Seasonal nonstop service between Reno and Anchorage

    RENO, Nev., April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Reno Air, Inc.
(Nasdaq: RENO; PCX: RNO) today announced its summer schedule which focuses on
strengthening its San Jose hub and preparing for the summer travel demand.
    Beginning June 11, 1998, Reno Air will offer three nonstop, weekday
flights from San Jose to Portland and Seattle, significantly increasing the
number of convenient connections between the Pacific Northwest and Southern
California and Las Vegas.
    "In addition to reinforcing our San Jose hub, the new schedule increases
service in many core markets," said Reno Air Senior Vice President of
Marketing and Planning Joanne Smith.  "The schedule is a better allocation of
resources and increases our aircraft utilization."
    Reno Air also announced it will bring back seasonal nonstop service
between Reno and Anchorage with one daily flight, and the airline is preparing
for the busy summer travel season by increasing frequency to several key
cities.  The weekday service schedule from Reno to Chicago (O'Hare), San Diego
and Orange County will increase from three to four round trip, nonstop
flights.  Travelers between Los Angeles and Las Vegas will have two additional
flights to choose from, increasing the number of daily round trips from three
to five.  And daily service from San Jose to San Diego and Los Angeles will
increase from six to seven flights and from seven to eight flights,
respectively.
    Reno Air currently serves 19 cities with over 180 peak daily scheduled
departures.  The carrier's fleet of 28 MD-80 and MD-90 jets has an average age
of approximately six years.  Reno Air offers everyday low fares, its own
award-winning frequent flyer program, QQuick Miles(TM), American Airlines(R)
AAdvantage(R) miles, advance seat assignments, a spacious first class cabin,
EZtrip(TM) ticketless travel and full participation in all major computer
reservation systems.
