BLOOMFIELD, Conn., April 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Kaman Corp.
(Nasdaq: KAMN) today announced the appointment of John C. Sorensen, 45, as
vice president and treasurer, reporting to Robert M. Garneau, executive
vice president and chief financial officer.
Sorensen joins Kaman from Visant Corp., Armonk, NY, a $1.2 billion
private equity owned school affinity and specialty marketing company. At
Kaman, he succeeds Russell H. Jones who retired on March 31, 2008. His
responsibilities will include oversight of the treasury department, banking
relationships, capital market transactions and investment management
administration of the company's pension assets.
Garneau said, "John brings with him over twenty years of experience in
the finance and treasury functions. He possesses a wealth of capital
markets knowledge and that familiarity will be extremely valuable to the
company as we continue to implement our long-term growth. He and Patti
Goldenberg, our assistant treasurer, will form a well rounded treasury
team."
Prior to joining Visant in 2005 as vice president and treasurer,
Sorensen held similar executive management positions for World Kitchen,
Inc., Reston, Va.; US Office Products Company, Washington, D.C.; ARINC
Incorporated, Annapolis, Md.; and Bank of America, Washington, D.C. He is a
1984 graduate of Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, Penn., with a bachelor's
degree in business administration, and in 1994 he received an MBA in
finance from Loyola College, Baltimore, Md.
John and his two children live in Westport, Connecticut.

the aerospace and industrial distribution markets.
