Meta Financial Group, Inc.(R) Retains NASDAQ Listing and Receives Filing Extension

    STORM LAKE, Iowa, April 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Meta Financial
Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: CASH) reported today that the NASDAQ Hearings Panel
has granted the Company an extension until June 6, 2008 to file its
Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the quarters ended December 31, 2007, and
March 31, 2008. The decision has the effect of allowing Meta Financial
Group's continued listing on the NASDAQ Global Market.

    As reported on April 17, 2008, the Company engaged KPMG LLP as its new
independent registered public accounting firm, and stated that the first
and second quarterly reports on Form 10-Q would be filed as soon as
reasonably practicable following KPMG's completion of its quarterly
financial statement review procedures.
