Motorola Chairman, Former Lucent Technologies Chairman and CEO and NASD CEO Among Featured Speakers at Global Forum on Management Education in Chicago

ST. LOUIS, April 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Some of the top leaders in industry
and business will convene in Chicago in June to address an estimated
2,000 management educators from around the world at the Global Forum on
Management Education.
Gary Tooker, Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) chairman; Henry Schacht, former
Chairman and CEO of Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU); and Frank Zarb, chairman,
president and CEO of the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc., are
among the featured speakers that will address the Forum. The event is being
organized and co-hosted by St. Louis-based AACSB -- The International
Association for Management Education.
"We are pleased to have such a distinguished group of speakers," said
William K. Laidlaw, Jr., executive vice president of AACSB. "It will be an
unparalleled experience for Global Forum participants because of the caliber
and diversity of the event's speakers."
Held only twice a decade -- and never before in the United States -- the
Global Forum on Management Education is an intense, three-day event where
academic, corporate and political leaders from around the world come together
and discuss the 21st century political, economic and technological trends
affecting management education.
"Management educators today are preparing the leaders who will shape
critical corporate and public policies in almost every nation," said Tooker,
who will address the Forum in opening remarks. "I don't think it's too much
of a stretch to say these educators -- and their students -- will have a
direct impact on the growth of international business relations in the future.
That's why a global event like this is so important."
Schacht brings an unusual perspective to the meeting as former Chairman
and CEO of Lucent Technologies. "Today's businesses face a wave of new
technologies, new alliances and new financial challenges," he said. "It's a
dynamic environment that brings unparalleled opportunity and growth -- and
uncertainty and risk. The Global Forum on Management Education is an
opportunity for management educators from around the world to address these
issues, face to face."
NASD CEO Zarb will speak about the decade ahead as investing and
capital-raising become increasingly global, making U.S. capital markets vastly
different from today.
AACSB expects about 2,000 people to attend the Forum. Of those attendees,
half are anticipated to come from countries outside the United States,
including Nigeria, Russia, Kenya, Egypt, Jamaica, India, China, Slovenia,
Poland, Malaysia, and Kazakhstan, among others.
