SOURCECORP Awarded New Contract to Provide Medical Information Management Outsourcing

Company Announces Two-Year Agreement With Leading Health System

    DALLAS, April 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SOURCECORP (Nasdaq: SRCP), a
leading provider of business process solutions, announced today that it has
been awarded a two-year contract with a leading Midwest health system to
provide medical information management services. SOURCECORP will provide
these additional outsourcing services to complement its recently awarded
contract to provide medical record imaging services for the system announced
last November.
SOURCECORP will outsource the health system's patient medical records
management in a hosted environment through its FASTRIEVE electronic repository
service. SOURCECORP currently converts the hard-copy medical documents to
digital formats and indexes the electronic records onsite. These electronic
records will be uploaded to SOURCECORP's repository, which will be linked into
the healthcare provider's HIS system in a secure, HIPAA compliant
environment. SOURCECORP's services include the integration services to
complete the network connectivity that will facilitate making the information
accessible throughout the healthcare provider's hospitals, clinics and
outpatient centers, which handle 2.5 million patient visits annually.
"We are very pleased to have this opportunity to expand our work with this
leading healthcare provider," said Kerry Walbridge, division president
for SOURCECORP's Information Management business. "In this
engagement, SOURCECORP's document processing and information management
services will provide an expandable, web-based solution implemented in a
fraction of the time needed to implement an in-house solution and we believe
at considerably less cost. The net result assists our client to achieve
greater efficiencies, reduced operating costs and continued excellence in
patient care for which they are known."
Ed H. Bowman, Jr., president and chief executive officer of SOURCECORP,
added, "This new engagement is a great example of our goal to expand services
we provide to existing customers while continuing to increase our base of
long-term, recurring revenues. Our outsourcing solutions enable SOURCECORP to
coordinate all, or part, of an entire information management process as a
single point of accountability to provide a cost-effective, accurate and
flexible solution for our customers."
