ImageWare to Showcase Enhancement of Its EPISUITE ID Card Product at CTST 2002

NEW ORLEANS, April 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Security technology
company ImageWare Systems, Inc. (Amex: IW) is showcasing a new optional
feature to its ID card software, EPISUITE PRO(TM), at CardTech/Secure Tech
2002, April 22-25, at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. The
ImageWare booth is 707.
EPISUITE PRO, in combination with a Fargo Electronics, Inc. (Nasdaq: FRGO)
HDP820 printer/encoder, will now have an option that enables companies using
HID Corporation's personalized access control cards to read the HID card code
before the card is printed. The card code will be automatically assigned to a
person in the EPISUITE database. As a result, HID card users now have a
streamlined, off-the-shelf solution that dramatically reduces card production
time.
EPISUITE PRO is a ready-to-use software application that enables users to
design ID cards; capture photos, signatures and fingerprints; maintain a
secure database of cardholder information; and encode magnetic stripes, bar
codes and smart chips.
"We continue to offer the market more sophisticated technology to meet the
increasing demand for greater security," said Jim Miller, ImageWare chief
executive officer. "Tighter integration of our ID technology with the
personalization of access control cards fulfills the evolving requirements of
our clients and the market."
"Our advanced encoding capability allows the personalized photo access
control ID card to be 'read' by a scanner," said Mark Andersen, Fargo's vice
president-sales. "Together, we can offer corporate clients an integrated
solution for secure credentials."
"The integration of our technologies widens the choices and options of
companies working with HID and ImageWare," said Joe Grillo, president and CEO
of the Identification Technology Group (ITG), an ASSA ABLOY Group company.
"Offering an integrated solution for credentials expands the needs of the
market overall."
ImageWare will be conducting product demonstrations at Booth #707. The
products being exhibited include:
