Devon Energy Announces Elections of Officers

    OKLAHOMA CITY, April 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Devon Energy
Corporation (NYSE: DVN) announced today the elections and promotions of two
corporate officers.
    William D. (Bill) Fulton, 48, has been elected vice president,
enterprise project management. Based in Houston, Fulton is responsible for
review, recommendation and oversight of initiatives other than exploration
and production and midstream capital projects. He joined Devon in 2000 when
the company acquired Santa Fe Snyder Corporation. He has served in several
capacities at Devon in both domestic and international operations, most
recently as production and operations manager for the Southern Division.
Prior to that, he served as production and operations manager in Devon's
International Division. Fulton began his oil and gas career in 1981 with
Petro-Lewis Corporation. Prior to joining Santa Fe Snyder, he was with
Hondo Oil and Gas Company. Fulton's industry experience includes reservoir
engineering, corporate planning and managing acquisition and divestiture
projects. He has a bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas
Tech University.
    Gregory T. (Greg) Kelleher, 52, has been elected vice president and
general manager of Devon's Southern Division, located in Houston. Kelleher
joined Devon in 1999 when it acquired PennzEnergy Company. He most recently
served as deepwater manager and previously as exploration manager for
Devon's Gulf Division. He has more than 30 years of energy industry
experience in a wide variety of exploration, development and exploitation
capacities. He is experienced in numerous geologic basins including the
Gulf of Mexico, the Gulf Coast, Mississippi salt basin, Appalachian basin,
the Rocky Mountains and the San Joaquin basin in California. Prior to
PennzEnergy, Kelleher was employed by Tenneco, Aminoil and CNG. He holds a
bachelor's degree in geological engineering from the Colorado School of
Mines and earned a master's degree in geology from West Virginia
University.
