announces the release of Version 1.1 of the LinxSmart Development and End-User
Kits for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), Value Add Resellers (VAR) and
Independent Software Vendors (ISV). In conjunction with CardTech/SecurTech,
the smart card industry's largest trade show, SCI announces a 25% discount off
any kit ordered before May 15, 2001.
The development kit enables an OEM, VAR, or ISV to rapidly integrate smart
card technology into their existing products, enabling programmers to easily
add this technology without investing valuable time to become smart card
experts. An OEM, VAR, or ISV can easily adapt the bundled software to fit
their customer's needs by integrating LinxSmart into their existing products,
or create new products using the easy-to-use library. By including a
development and end-user license, SCI allows the OEM, VAR, or ISV to develop
its product and deploy it to a single site for testing and use. Additional
sites can be added by simply purchasing end-user kits. This latest version
includes enhancements to the LinxSmart Loyalty Manager software to improve
program-to-card communications and message handling.
Each development kit includes 2 PC/SC smart card readers, 2 LinxSmart
Security Modules, 25 smart cards, the development suite and license, and
end-user license. The development suite contains the LinxSmart library,
hardware drivers, the LinxSmart Loyalty Manager software with full
documentation, and source code in Borland(R) Delphi(TM) and TURBOPOWER(R)
Orpheus(TM) (both sold separately).
Each end-user kit includes a PC/SC smart card reader, a LinxSmart Security
Module, the LinxSmart Library, hardware drivers, and an end-user license.
