    BALTIMORE, April 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Constellation Energy
(NYSE: CEG) today announced that as part of national Take Our Daughters and
Sons to Work(R) Day, children of Constellation Energy employees
participated in a day-long event comprised of interactive activities and
presentations that connected what they learn in school with the careers of
their parents. The event was highlighted by Operation Constellation Energy
Kids, an initiative during which participating children learned first-hand
about Constellation Energy's commitment to the communities it serves. This
year, the children assembled 1,500 care packages made up of basic needs
items for children at local homeless shelters located throughout the
Baltimore area. As part of Operation Constellation Energy Kids,
Constellation Energy employees collected items for infants and toddlers and
children ages 5 to 12. The packages were distributed today to local
homeless shelters in the Baltimore area.

"Constellation Energy recognizes the value of Take Our Daughters and
Sons to Work(R) Day, and we are pleased to be able to continue this
tradition, which allows our children to better understand the opportunities
available to them as they begin to think about their futures," said Mayo A.
Shattuck III, chairman, president and chief executive officer of
Constellation Energy. "Constellation Energy has a long-standing commitment
to the communities in which we live and work, and as such, we are extremely
proud that we can offer our children the chance to connect with our
hometown in a very real and meaningful way through Operation Constellation
Energy Kids."

As a special surprise, Maryland Army and Air National Guardsmen, who
recently returned from deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, joined the
children to personally thank them for the 1,300 individual care packages
they provided to members of the Maryland Army National Guard's 58th
Infantry Brigade Combat Team. During last year's Take Our Daughters and
Sons to Work(R) Day, Constellation Energy Kids assembled the care packages
for the soldiers, who recently began redeploying after completing a
year-long deployment in Iraq.

Other events throughout the day included activities centered on the
National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work(R) Day theme, "Making Choices
for a Better World." Constellation Energy children learned what doing the
right thing for the planet means and worked together to list the top 10
activities they can do to protect and preserve the environment. The
children then voted on what they thought was the most important activity,
and agreed to incorporate it into their daily lives.
