NAPERVILLE, Ill., April 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- OfficeMax(R)
Incorporated (NYSE: OMX), a leader in office products and services,
announced today a regular quarterly dividend of $0.15 cents per common
share, payable on July 15, 2008, to shareholders of record on July 1, 2008.
OfficeMax also announced that, as previously announced, Gary G.
Michael, who joined the OfficeMax Board of Directors in 1997, did not stand
for re-election in 2008. Mr. Michael was the Chairman of the Board and
Chief Executive Officer of Albertsons, Inc. until his retirement in 2001.
On the OfficeMax board of directors, Mr. Michael served as Chair of the
Committee of Outside Directors and Lead Independent Director, and as a
member of the Executive Compensation Committee and the Governance &
Nominating Committee. The board has appointed Rakesh Gangwal, who joined
the OfficeMax Board of Directors in 1998, to fill Mr. Michael's position as
Chair of the Committee of Outside Directors and Lead Independent Director.
Mr. Gangwal will continue to serve on the Executive Compensation Committee
and the Governance & Nominating Committee.
