Hello Direct Business Customers to Benefit from InternetConnect's High-speed,
Always-On Broadband Internet Access and Networking Solutions
SAN JOSE, Calif., April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Hello Direct, Inc.
(Nasdaq: HELO), the leading developer and business-to-business direct marketer
of desktop telephony and equipment interface products, today announced it will
begin marketing InternetConnect's digital subscriber line, or DSL, and
networking services to Hello Direct customers.
InternetConnect is a leading broadband networking solutions provider for
businesses. InternetConnect's high-speed DSL services enable small- and
medium-sized businesses, branch locations of large corporations, and home
office workers to have an "always on" connection to the Internet at a fraction
of the price of a T-1 line or ISDN. Additionally, InternetConnect's private
networking product, VPNplus, provides those same businesses with the power to
establish an affordable private data communication network between business
partners, vendors and employees. VPNplus users' sensitive business data
travels over InternetConnect's own national ATM backbone of switches and
routers.
"Offering InternetConnect's extensive DSL and networking services is an
important part of helping our customers get the most from HelloDirect," said
Michael Young, VP, CIO, and chief E-commerce officer of Hello Direct. "Having
fast Internet access is key to maximizing the features of the web-enabled
services we offer to help increase our customers' overall productivity."
Hello Direct's customers can choose between InternetConnect's various
speeds for Internet access and a range of value-added services such as
VPNplus, Web hosting, remote LAN access, and extranets. InternetConnect
handles installation, maintenance and customer support.
Reliable DSL Service
Hello Direct's customers will benefit from InternetConnect's nationwide
DSL footprint in 34 major metropolitan areas, through its own ATM network of
advanced Cisco routers and Lucent switches -- ensuring speed, reliability and
security.
"Hello Direct customers need to fully access the high-speed, large
bandwidth, rich media and multiple telephony, data and entertainment services
that DSL can offer," said Ron Becht, VP of product marketing for Hello Direct.
"We feel InternetConnect's services address this rapidly growing sector of
telecommunications, and are a natural addition to our overall offering."
