Wells Fargo Hires Investment Banking Head of Food and Agribusiness

    SAN FRANCISCO, April 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wells Fargo & Company
(NYSE: WFC) has named Bill Whipple as the head of Food and Agribusiness for
Wells Fargo Securities, LLC, its investment banking subsidiary. Based in
Chicago, Illinois, Whipple will be responsible for initiating all
investment banking activity for the food and agribusiness sector.

our agribusiness customers his solid understanding of their industry, long
standing relationships with key industry players, and a strong track record
in providing investment banking advisory services," said John Hullar, head

    Whipple has established strong relationships with many of America's
major food and agribusiness firms. In his new role, he will consult with
Wells Fargo customers nationwide, focusing especially on the West Coast and
Midwest regions within Wells Fargo's food and agribusiness portfolio.
    For the past twenty years, Whipple has been a key player within Harris
Trust & Savings Bank in Chicago, including head of the Food Group since
1997. He earned his Bachelor's degree at the University of Illinois in
Champaign, and completed his M.B.A. at the University of Hartford in
Connecticut.
