Gateway Returns to France, Continues Successful Expansion of Its International Retail Presence

 Company Partners With Leading Retailers Darty and BUT to Sell Its Gateway
                    and eMachines PCs Throughout France

    PARIS, April 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Gateway, Inc. today announced
its return to France, leveraging the success of its international retail
model. The company has established relationships with leading retailers
Darty and BUT to sell several Gateway and eMachines branded PCs and flat
panel monitors throughout France. The new PCs offer customers all the
performance, quality and value that Gateway and its eMachines brand are
known for worldwide.
    In September 2005, Gateway successfully re-entered the European market
with the Gateway brand in the United Kingdom. Demonstrating its strong
acceptance in the UK market, Gateway won the "Best New Vendor" award from
Comet, a leading UK retailer, as well as numerous awards from some of the
UK's most respected technology publications.
