SAN JOSE, Calif., April 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Brocade(R)
(Nasdaq: BRCD), one of the first storage infrastructure providers to design
and ship embedded Storage Area Network (SAN) modules for bladed servers,
today announced that it will showcase its expertise in embedded SAN
switching and application management at the sixth annual Server Blade
Summit on "Blades and Virtualization: The Perfect Marriage." The event runs
May 1 to 3 at the Anaheim Marriott Hotel in Anaheim, California. Brocade, a
Silver-level sponsor, will demonstrate Brocade Access Gateway, a solution
designed to improve SAN Management, reduce overall storage costs in the
data center, and features interoperability between Brocade blade SAN
switches and products from other SAN switch and director manufacturers.
Brocade Access Gateway demonstrations will take place in the Exhibit
Hall Booth #704 on Wednesday, May 2, from noon to 6 p.m. and on Thursday,
May 3, from noon to 2 p.m.
Brocade executives will also participate in the following breakout
sessions during the summit:
Session 200: "Storage Issues" on Tuesday, May 1 from 10:30 a.m. to
11:20 a.m.
Nelson Stewart, Brocade Embedded Switch Product Manager, will speak on
"Managing and Protecting in a Virtualized World." Stewart will act as one
of four panelist addressing storage issues.
Session 202: "IT Optimization Using Blades - Beyond IT Consolidation"
on Wednesday, May 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
Nelson Stewart, Brocade Embedded Switch Product Manager, will present
the benefits of using blades, virtualization, and SANs.
"Blades and Virtualization - Transforming Enterprise Computing", Beer
and Pizza Shootout/Executive Panel on Wednesday, May 2 from 6:00 p.m. to
7:30 p.m.
Nelson Stewart, Brocade Embedded Switch Product Manager, will
participate in the discussion along with six other panelists.
