    CAMBRIDGE, Mass., April 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Transkaryotic
Therapies, Inc. (Nasdaq: TKTX) will announce its first quarter 2005 financial
results on May 5, 2005 before the open of U.S. financial markets. In
connection with this announcement, TKT will host a conference call and live
audio webcast on May 5, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time to discuss its first
quarter 2005 financial results, the company's business activities, and
financial outlook.
