CHICAGO, April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- At a meeting held today, the Board of
Directors of W.W. Grainger, Inc. (NYSE: GWW) elected Brian P. Anderson and
Neil S. Novich as directors of the Company. This action brings the total
number of Company directors to twelve.
Anderson is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of
Baxter International, Inc., a global medical products and services company
that focuses on critical therapies for life-threatening conditions. He has
previously served Baxter as Corporate Vice President, Finance; Corporate
Controller, and Vice President, Corporate Audit. Before joining Baxter, he
worked for 16 years at Deloitte & Touche where he was a partner.
Novich is Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Ryerson
Tull, Inc., the largest metal distributor and processor in North America.
Novich joined Ryerson Tull, Inc. in 1994 as Chief Operating Officer and later
held the position of President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to coming
to Ryerson Tull, Novich was a Director of Bain & Company, an international
management consulting firm.
