Store Showcases New Interior Design With Easy Access to Office, School
Supplies and Copy/Print Center
ITASCA, Ill., April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- OfficeMax(R), one of the nation's
largest office supply retailers, will celebrate the grand opening of its new
St. Louis-area superstore on Sunday, May 2. The 20,000-square-foot OfficeMax
store located at 4617 Chippewa Street in the new Southtown Centre provides a
one-stop shop for all office-related needs. OfficeMax is one of the first two
businesses to open in the new shopping center. The store will employ 40 full-
and part-time associates.
The first 100 customers in the store on May 2 and Monday, May 3 will
receive free gift bags filled with store merchandise. In addition, prize
drawings for movie passes and St. Louis Cardinals tickets, courtesy of
OfficeMax, KSHE-FM and the St. Louis Post Dispatch, will be held throughout
the day and complimentary refreshments provided. KSHE-FM will broadcast live
on May 2 from noon until 2 p.m. In-store customers will be able to see product
demos from Hewlett-Packard and Sanford.

The OfficeMax superstore features comprehensive services and a new store
design to help customers find what they need quickly and easily, including:

printing, color copying and desktop publishing
-- FurnitureMax, featuring a wide variety of ready-to-assemble office
furniture and a design assistance center
-- New store interior design, more product signage and lower sight
lines, allowing shoppers to see where they want to go as they enter
the store
-- Products arranged by categories, making browsing easier
-- MaxInstall, providing professional computer installation service
Customers will find that OfficeMax employees are outfitted with wireless
headsets and can answer questions about products or services, thanks to direct
communication with information resources. OfficeMax calls this "boundless
service" -- providing faster and better customer service without departmental
boundaries.
The store will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, from
9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. OfficeMax has named
David Bragg as the store's general manager.
