Vitex to Present at the Rodman & Renshaw Techvest 2nd Annual Global Healthcare Conference

    WATERTOWN, Mass., April 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- V.I. Technologies,
Inc. (Nasdaq: VITX) ("Vitex" or "the Company"), a biotechnology company
dedicated to developing the next generation of anti-infective therapeutics,
has been invited to speak at the Rodman & Renshaw Techvest 2nd Annual Global
Healthcare Conference, to be held at The InterContinental Hotel in Paris,
France on Thursday, May 5, 2005. Vitex's presentation is scheduled to begin
that day at 10:30 a.m., Central European Summer Time, or 4:30 a.m., U.S.
