announced that it will demonstrate its comprehensive suite of biometrics
software tools in its booth at CardTech/SecurTech held May 2 - 4, 2006 in
San Francisco. Aware's market-leading biometrics software is designed for
use by integrators towards development of enrollment, card personalization,
and card reader systems for applications such as fingerprint background
checks, border management, e-passports, and smart card IDs such as the new
"PIV" U.S. federal employee ID. Aware software enables fast development of
custom applications with important functionality such as biometric face and
fingerprint image capture, analysis, optimization, and compression, as well
as standard-compliant data formatting, compliance assurance, and transport.
Aware's PIVSuite product provides several components that address the
new U.S. federal government employee ID requirements in full compliance
with FIPS 201 standards. PIVSuite includes NISTPack for fingerprint
background check file creation and validation, PIVPack for PIV ID card
personalization and reading, and PreFace(TM) for facial image analysis,
optimization and compliance assurance. Aware's Biometric Store and Forward
server platform, or "BSF", is used to robustly aggregate and transport
biometric enrollment images and data for background check or card
personalization.
