will introduce the hottest concept in consumer electronics and entertainment
to Glendale next month. WOW! Multimedia Superstore, scheduled to open in mid-
May, is a collaborative effort that aims to make shopping an interactive
experience for customers.
The Glendale location will be the first WOW! Multimedia Superstore to
feature the good guys! new store format -- AUDIO/VIDEO EXPOSITION. The
concept has been integrated into new the good guys! stores and remodels and
demonstrates the convergence of audio, video, communication and computer
technologies into home entertainment and media centers. The stores have an
innovative interior design where customers can gather with Sales Associates
who are trained in designing and installing home theater and media centers and
creating system solutions for their homes.
AUDIO/VIDEO EXPOSITION stores feature "EXPO" rooms: Ultra Media Center,
Family Media Center, Work@Home.com and Multi-Room systems. These rooms are
customized to provide shoppers with an introduction to new technologies,
applications and products in home-like, interactive settings.

WOW! Multimedia Superstores offer shoppers the opportunity to find the
home entertainment system of their dreams, as well as a diverse, eclectic
selection of music, software, videos and books. WOW! is staffed by both Tower
Records and the good guys! associates, although this is transparent to the
shopper. The two companies work in concert on in-store merchandising,
promotions and events.
WOW! will carry a huge assortment of CD titles in every conceivable music
genre, as well as videos, laser discs, DVDs and computer software. There will
be a huge collection of magazines, music and pop-culture books, along with
over 4,000 consumer electronics SKU's, including televisions, home and car
audio, video, personal electronics, home and cellular telephones, and
computers.
In addition to the immense product selection, WOW! will feature several
music listening areas which encourage guests to shop longer. A giant video
wall with "Surround Sound" will be the world's largest and first
High-Definition TV wall with digital TV capability. Also featured will be a
new silver Mercedes SLK with the ultimate sound system.
The Glendale WOW!, located at 142 South Brand Blvd., is the third WOW!
Multimedia Superstore, joining one at Marina Pacifica in Long Beach,
California and another in Las Vegas, Nevada.
