VANCOUVER, Wash., April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Electric Lightwave, Inc.
(Nasdaq: ELIX) today announced the appointment of Jerry Cady as vice president
of operations.
Cady was previously with Winstar/Midcom Communications where he held the
position of vice president of network operations. He brings to Electric
Lightwave more than 18 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
"Jerry's contribution to our network operations is of paramount importance
and I am confident in his abilities and experience which spans sales,
engineering, product development and operations," said Dave Sharkey, president
and chief operating officer of Electric Lightwave.
Cady spent many years working in the Northwest as vice president and
general manager of Seattle-based PacNet. He has more than 10 years experience
in the data communications field working for several equipment manufacturers
and has also owned and operated a company that provided integrated data
communications systems to several major corporations.
