Columbia Banking System to Present at D.A. Davidson & Co. Financial Services Conference

    TACOMA, Wash., April 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Columbia Banking
System, Inc. (Nasdaq: COLB) announced today that Melanie J. Dressel,
President and Chief Executive Officer, is scheduled to present at the D.A.
Davidson 10th Annual Financial Services Conference in Seattle on May 7,
2008. The Conference is intended to provide an opportunity for financial
and financial technology investors and corporate management teams to
exchange ideas about the trends that shape the future.
