CHICAGO, April 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- GATX Corporation (NYSE: GMT)
announced today that its Board of Directors has elected Brian A. Kenney to
senior vice president. Mr. Kenney will continue in his role as chief
financial officer.
Ronald H. Zech, chairman of GATX Corporation, stated, "Since joining GATX
six years ago, Brian has taken on an increasingly important role within the
company. In addition to his duties as chief financial officer, Brian has
provided leadership on a number of important company initiatives. This
appointment to senior vice president recognizes Brian's contributions to GATX
and his untiring effort on behalf of the company and its shareholders."
Mr. Kenney (42) was elected vice president - chief financial officer in
September, 1999. He joined GATX in 1995 as Treasurer and added the title of
vice president - finance in 1997. Prior to joining GATX, Mr. Kenney was a
managing director, corporate finance and banking for AMR Corporation and
previously held financial positions with UAL Corporation. Mr. Kenney received
his BBA from the University of Notre Dame in 1981 and his MBA in finance from
the University of Michigan in 1983.
