Cancer Leaders to Discuss Cancer Research on the Upcoming Sam Lesante Show on WTVE, Channel 51

    PHILADELPHIA, April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Cancer experts from the National
Foundation for Cancer Research are set to discuss their latest efforts in an
upcoming appearance, on the Sam Lesante show.  The show will be broadcast set
to offer informative dialogue on the current status and future of cancer
research and be broadcast on WTVE, Channel 51 at 5:30 PM Wednesday (May 1) and
again on Friday (May 3).  Check your local cable listings for additional

    Experts from the Bethesda, Maryland-based, National Foundation for Cancer
Research include:

    * Franklin Salisbury, Jr., president
    * Dr. Sujuan Ba, science director and head of research
    * Silas Deane, director of communications

    Topics to be discussed include:
    * $300,000 grant to Penn State University to establish the Penn State-NFCR
      Center for Metastatic Cancer Research
    * Current status of breast cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer and head
      and neck cancer research
    * An international screensaver project that allows individuals to work
      side by side with cancer researchers in Oxford England to help cure
      leukemia.
    * The future of cancer research, funding and drug development
