EDINBURG, Va., April 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Shenandoah
Telecommunications Company (Shentel) (Nasdaq: SHEN) announces that Alan R.
Prusak has joined the Company as Vice President of Technology. In this
position, Mr. Prusak will be responsible for setting the overall technical
direction for the entire Shentel organization.
Mr. Prusak has over twelve years of experience in the telecommunications
industry, most recently serving as Vice President of Engineering at Alltel
Communications. During his tenure with Alltel, he held positions in
engineering, network operations, network services, and product development.

Prior to his work with Alltel, Mr. Prusak served seven years with the
