two strategic alliances with education technology leaders N2H2, Inc. and
Lightspan, Inc. that strengthen its presence in the K-12 market. Through
these alliances, Gateway provides targeted solutions that combine technology,
curriculum and filtered Internet access for students and educators.

Lightspan Alliance
Lightspan, a provider of curriculum-based products has selected Gateway as
the preferred PC provider for its educational solutions. Under the agreement,
Lightspan will recommend Gateway systems to school districts across the nation
and feature Gateway as the exclusive PC provider on its one-step web portal
for parents, students and teachers. The companies will also work together to
develop training programs and low-cost Internet access solutions for K-12
customers.
