Today's launch of http://www.psoriasissupport.com will be followed by the
June launch of PsoriasisSupport web sites localized in four European
countries: France, Germany, Netherlands and Sweden.
The content of PsoriasisSupport.com is conveniently arranged in four major
categories:

    * About Psoriasis -- individuals can find information about psoriasis, the
causes and types of psoriasis, the science behind the disease, the role of
immunology, future biologic treatment options and the most recent news on the
disease.
    * Living with Psoriasis -- visitors can get advice from experts, submit
their questions, and read recent articles and helpful tips on psoriasis.
    * Community -- people with psoriasis also have the opportunity to
participate in a supportive community by joining a message board and
exchanging information with others, sharing experiences and making new
friends. PsoriasisSupport.com assures all users privacy and confidentiality.
    * Resources -- visitors can also access a list of associations, resources,
support groups and a current events calendar to find out what's going on in
their community.

Dr. Alice Gottlieb, M.D., Ph.D., Director of the Clinical Research Center
at the UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, said, "PsoriasisSupport.com
provides the facts clearly and concisely. The site does a great job of
explaining immunology in a way that is easy to understand. Knowing and
understanding how the disease works in the body's immune system will become
more important for patients as they weigh new biologic treatment options that
may soon be available for psoriasis."
Mike Johnson, an Oregon-based psoriasis patient and charter member of
PsoriasisSupport.com, adds, "This site offers many multimedia learning
opportunities, as well as personalized content that suits my particular needs.
I haven't seen any other virtual communities out there for psoriasis that
include the supportive information and resources that you find on
PsoriasisSupport.com. People with psoriasis have an interest in learning more
about the causes of our disease and treatment options. It's also a great
bonus that the site offers free advice from dermatology experts. I plan to
tell all my friends with psoriasis about this great new resource."
Visitors can access all of the site information by becoming a member.
Perks of membership also include a copy of the book, "The Best of 'It Works
for Me'," by the National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF) that details helpful tips
for living with psoriasis. The site also offers links to psoriasis.org, the
official web site of the National Psoriasis Foundation that provides the
latest information on psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
