Transkaryotic Therapies, Inc. (Nasdaq: TKTX) will report first quarter 2003
financial results on Monday, May 5, 2003 before the open of U.S. financial
markets.  In connection with this announcement, TKT will host a conference
call and live audio webcast on Monday, May 5, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
