Press Invited to Umbilical Cord Blood Stem Cell Symposium At ACOG Annual Clinical Meeting in Los Angeles

SAN BRUNO, Calif., May 2 /PRNewswire/

What: Breakfast symposium covering "Umbilical Cord Blood Stem Cells:
Current Applications and Future Potential." The symposium is
offered through the NYU Post-Graduate Medical School and is
accredited for continuing medical education (CME). The symposium
is designed so physicians attending the 50th Annual Clinical
Meeting of the American College of Obstetricians and
              Gynecologists (ACOG) can participate.

Why: To discuss with physicians the recent advances in stem cell
science and increase understanding of cord blood stem cell
clinical applications for both current and future treatment.
Stem cells have been proven to have clinical benefit in the
treatment of cancers and blood disorders through transplantation
medicine. Applications for the treatment of autoimmune diseases,
and the areas of regenerative medicine, gene therapy, and
angiogenesis, have prompted an increase in physician and patient
discussion regarding cord blood stem cells.

Where: The Westin Bonaventure Hotel, Santa Barbara Room,
404 S. Figueroa St., Los Angeles.
