TelCove Teams Up With Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and See Your Troops Foundation to Unite Iraq-Based Soldiers With Their Loved Ones

   Telecommunications Services Provider Helps Enable Free, IP Videophone
 Communication between Pennsylvania National Guard Locations and Iraq Bases

    PITTSBURGH, May 2 /PRNewswire/ -- TelCove, a leading provider of
business critical telecommunications services to enterprise customers and
carriers, today announced their participation in and donation of
communication links to the See Your Troops initiative, sponsored by the
Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. The See Your Troops initiative
is implementing a network of videophone stations across Pennsylvania,
enabled through TelCove's donation of network connectivity, to enable free
video or phone communication between deployed soldiers in Iraq and their
friends and families at home. These stations will be located in National
Guard armories in Philadelphia, Scranton, Harrisburg, Mt. Pleasant,
Johnstown, and Fort Indiantown Gap.
    The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs is holding a gala
kickoff event at Fort Indiantown Gap (Building 8-80) on Tuesday, May 2nd at
2:00 PM (14:00 hours). At this location, media can observe a See Your
Troops station that will be made accessible to families and soldiers who
want to see and speak to deployed soldiers.
    Vendor and organization participants in this effort include:

     - See Your Troops Foundation: provided the original vision and momentum
       for this project. See Your Troops Foundation is also providing free
       videophones and IP service to all participating locations, plus
       videophones for use by deployed troops in Iraq.
     - TelCove: Providing network connectivity, Internet Access service, and
       technical support for all 6 Pennsylvania See Your Troops locations.
     - Cisco: Providing routers with a CSU/DSU interface and configuration
       support to enable the IP videophones to interface with TelCove's
       network at each location.
     - Black Box Network Services: Providing technician time and all materials
       to extend TelCove's service to the designated locations in Johnstown,
       Mt. Pleasant, Harrisburg, and Scranton.
     - Eastern Telephone & Telecommunications: Providing technical service,
       time and all material to extend TelCove's network to the Philadelphia
       location.
