American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. (Nasdaq: AEOS) today announced total sales for
the four weeks ended April 29, 2000 increased 26.9% to $57.8 million from
$45.5 million for the four-week period ended May 1, 1999. Same store sales
for the 2000 period rose 5.8% compared to the corresponding four-week period
last year.
Sales for the thirteen-week period ended April 29, 2000 increased 22.4% to
$178.0 million from $145.4 million for the thirteen-week period ended May 1,
1999. Same store sales for the 2000 period rose 3.9% compared to the
corresponding thirteen-week period last year.
American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. is a specialty retailer of all-American,
