Agreements with Cyprus, Eurocypria and Hellas Jet Allow 24/7 Access to
Emergency Physicians
TEMPE, Ariz., May 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Health and security provider
MedAire, Inc. (ASX Code: MDE) has reached agreements with three Mediterranean
carriers that will give the airlines immediate inflight access to MedAire's
hospital-based physicians. In doing so, passengers and flight crew members
onboard Cyprus Airways, Eurocypria and Hellas Jet will be more prepared than
ever to handle unforeseen medical emergencies.
Under the agreements, MedAire will provide each airline's fleet of
aircraft with immediate access to emergency physicians working at its MedLink
Global Response Center. MedLink physicians are available 24-hours a day to
help manage any inflight medical situation as well as provide pre-flight
medical guidance on whether an ill passenger is fit to fly. The
hospital-based center can be contacted from anywhere around the world using
the aircraft's existing communications system.
